(W02A) Opening Session – Management Meets the Future: The Innovation Challenge
Never before has management’s life been so...interesting. During the pandemic it seems as if society has fast-forwarded five years in a single year. The virtualization of our world has greatly accelerated. Work from home, telemedicine, virtual shopping, distance learning, socializing, exercise. This trend alone impacts every sector of the economy. Leaders are in the midst of not only technical challenges, but broader social quandaries such as the nature of privacy, increased automation, reskilling workers, and managing employees at home. They also must focus on the strategic direction of the enterprise itself. How can successful managers discover and implement innovation while still meeting the daily challenges of business?
Presented by John Logue, Interim Administrator/CEO, Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, and Michael Rogers, futurist, journalist and radio/television personality

(T02A) General Session – Management and Mismanagement During Crises
Anthony Panepinto is no stranger to managing crises. As a senior director of health, safety and environmental affairs at Procter & Gamble (P&G), one of the largest consumer goods company in the world, Panepinto has implemented response plans for seven infectious disease outbreaks and natural disasters. P&G’s response plan is guided by three core principles -- protect the health and well-being of P&G people, serve consumers around the world, and support communities, relief agencies, and people on the front lines. Protecting P&G people and the safety of their work environment is especially challenging during COVID-19 as demand for many P&G products increased. Join this session to hear how this Ohio-based company successfully implemented a worldwide response to this global pandemic.
Presented by Anthony Panepinto, Senior Director of Health, Safety and Environmental Affairs, Procter & Gamble
